Each year Region III presents a special award to one of its members in the coaching or judging community.  The award is in honor of Robert Cowan who was a past Region III Chairman and USGF Men's Program Director.

This year the Region III Board selected two outstanding members of the gymnastic community as the 2003 Robert Cowan Award Recipient.

Tom Meadows, the one on the left, is the head coach at Cypress Academy and a former Junior National Champion. He has donated countless number of hours volunteering as a clinician and coach for events throughout the region.  He currently is a member of the National Junior Coaching Staff. Congratulations to Tom!

Diana Duane, the one on the right, is a member of the Capital Gymnastics Booster Club.  She has been instrumental in running two regional championships as well as the 2000 J.O. National Championships in Austin. Diana has given so much energy to Region III in making these event memorable. Congratulations to Diana!
