HERE IS A STORY FROM THE LEVEL 6 (10,11) REGION III JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT CAMP
The camp was held at CG's in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
C.G.'s Gymnastics Boys' Team had the pleasure of hosting the Level 6 (10-11 yr. old) Development Camp from June 21st through June 23rd. It was great fun and a huge success! The camp was attended by Spencer Fort, Carl Marth, Alex Thomason, Evan Caston and Daniel Wuthnow of Texas, Tony Treweeke of Kansas, Koty Dillinger and Conner Von Holten of Oklahoma, Joshua Smith, Brandon Watts, Miller Hilliard and Jacob Delatte of Louisiana, and Evan Arbuckle of Missouri. The boys arrived on Thursday evening to a light workout and pizza party as they took the opportunity to get to know one another as well as the camp coaches, Kevin Anderson and Neptali Narvaez.
The boys began the day on Friday with a workout and then headed out to spend the afternoon at Blue Bayou Waterpark and Dixie Landin' Amusement Park before returning to the gym for an evening workout. On Saturday the boys had two workouts before going to downtown Baton Rouge and the Louisiana Arts & Science Museum, where they attended an IMAX movie, "Adrenaline Rush" and then on to the USS Kidd Battleship for an overnight sleepover. The boys and coaches were chauffeured for the entire weekend by Jennie and Jeff Hilliard (parents of camp participant, Miller Hilliard) in at 34 foot long R.V.
On Sunday morning the boys returned to the gym for a final workout, closing remarks and a round of farewells! Our hats off to Region III for offering such a phenomenal opportunity to these kids where they worked on their gymnastics skills, but most importantly established friendships that will last a lifetime!
A side note from Gil Elsass - Special Thanks to Stacey Brown who coordinated the entire event for the weekend. It is her dedication to the sport and its participants that make Region III such a dominate force.

HERE IS A STORY FROM THE LEVEL 7 (10,11) REGION III JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT CAMP
Another impressive camp for the Level 7's. The Level 7 camp was held on July 26-29 in Austin, Texas at Crenshaw Athletic Club. Crenshaws seems to be the home of the Level 7 camp each year. The camp was led by Tom Meadows (Cypress) with Jason Reinart (Emerald City) assisting. The following boys came to the camp: John Charles Arion (Texas), Seth Cannon (Oklahoma), Lee Grogan (Arkansas), Hunter Justus (Texas), Jordan King (Texas), David Malloy (Texas), Reece Rickett (Texas), Taylor Seaton (Texas), Ryan Sheppard (Texas), Mitchell Soukup (Texas), Collin Van Wicklen (Texas) and Zachary Wendland (Kansas).
These kids certainly know how to workout hard, but let no one say they do not know how to play hard. Everything was done at an 110% effort. The big activity on Friday was a lake trip for some boating, jet skiing and flipping off of the dock. On Saturday, the group took a trip around the Austin on an old troop transport that even drove into the lake for a short while.
Tom has been keeping record of this camp for years and found that these kids broke all of the record from earlier camps.
Thanks to Gil Elsass and Crenshaw Athletic Club for opening up the facility and making all of the boys feel right at home.
