2009 Robert Cowan Award Recipient

Each year Region III presents a special award to one of its members in the coaching or judging community.  The award is in honor of Robert Cowan who was a past Region III Chairman and USGF Men's Program Director.

To the left are all of the past recipients of the award who were at this year's Region III Championships.

On the very left is the first of our two 2009 Robert Cowan Award recipients.  Wally Meierarend is the State Chairman for Missouri.

On the right is Nick Brooks, who is accepting the award for his father, Larry Brooks.  Larry passed away last fall in an auto accident.  He was a gym owner and coach in the Houston area, a very respected member of our coaching community.
