1999 Academic All American Awards

Each year USAGymnastics recognizes the difficulties of maintaining academic excellent while performing as a competitive gymnast. The National Office rewards its high school members with the Academic All American Award.   Three levels of achievement are issued.  Honorable Mention (3.5-3.69 gpa), Second Team (3.7-3.84 gpa) and First Team (3.85 or higher) with the posted GPA being cumulative.  Applications can be found in the National Rules and Policies Book and must be submitted no later than April 15th of each year.  Out of the 185 awards presented this year, over 125 of these gymnasts participated in the Houston J.O. Nationals.
