TABLE VAULT

This committee is seeking direction from the men’s community.  We see the need to keep the table in competition while working drills in workouts, but there are some that fee strongly that the table should be discarded until Level 6.  Instead of using the table for Level 4 & 5, we are proposing the following.

*****LEVEL 4 (CLASS VII)
Run
Hurdle with correct arm swing
Punch straight jump with controlled landing

1. Run  - 3 Points
2. Hurdle and arm swing - 3 Points
3. Front Somersault (form) - 3.7
4. Amplitude & Virtuosity - 0.2
5. Stick Landing 0.1

LEVEL 5 (CLASS VI) VAULTING TABLE

Punch front somersault with controlled landing

1. Run  - 3 Points
2. Hurdle and arm swing - 3 Points
3. Front Somersault (form) - 3.7
4. Amplitude & Virtuosity - 0.2

LEVEL 6 (CLASS V) VAULTING TABLE- Handspring Vault

10.0

Note:
1. The table may be set at any height.
2. The junior program will not give a zero score for any vault, with the exception of failure to contact the horse at all, which will receive a zero. Otherwise the minimum score for any actual vault will be 1.00. A zero vault, as defined by the FIG, may be repeated once, with a deduction of 1.00 from the value of the second attempt. No third attempts will be allowed.
3. The coach must stand in position to best spot his athlete. The judge should not allow the gymnast to begin his run if the coach is not in position.
