Coaches will meet to
informally discuss issues at the State meet.
The formal State meeting will be held at the State Clinic. You must be a professional member of the USAG
to attend. One vote
per club.
State Meet Format:
1.
State Meet site -
Bids proposed and voted at State Clinic.
2.
State Meet
information - State Chairman must approve the final State Meet format and
schedule, which has to be mailed four weeks prior to the competition date.
3.
The host for the
State Meet must use the Regional Championships Financial Report Form to provide
a financial statement of the competition.
4.
Judges have to be
NGJA rated for levels that might qualify for Regional Championships. All judges must be approved by the State
Chairman (USAG rule).
5.
Level 4 – Elite -
All gymnasts must be registered with the USAG to participate in the State
Championships. Elites will be judged as
per FIG. A Level 4’s non-sanctioned competition
may be hosted at the discretion of the club owner or meet director in lieu of
insurance.
6. A modified capital cup format (or touch-and-go format)
will be used for the State Championships with the following exception: Levels 4 & 5: stretch and warm-up will be
45 minutes, then compete all six.
7. Graduating seniors will be recognized with a plaque
from the State Chairman. It is the
responsibility of each coach to submit the names of each graduating senior, to
the State Chair, one month before the State Meet.
State Meet Fees:
· All-Around entry fee - $60 maximum.
· Team entry cannot exceed $35 per level.
· Gate fees: Adults - $7, Children - $5.
· State Chairman may change these fees based on the
financial circumstances surrounding the meet, i.e. using an outside facility
Awards:
1.
Individual &
All-Around - Medals only
· Individual Awards – must be 50% of the total
competitors in each of the following Levels and Age groups:
Level
4: 6-7yrs, 8-9yrs, 10+yrs; Level 5: 7-9yrs, 10-11yrs, 12+yrs; Level 6: 8-9yrs,
10-11yrs, 12+yrs; Level 7: 10-11yrs, 12+yrs; Level 8;
Level
9; Level
· All Around Awards – must be given to all gymnasts in
each Level and Age group. These must be
USAG required medals
2.
Team
· Scoring - top three scores per level, regardless of
age.
· Must have at least three gymnasts in a level to
constitute a team.
USAG Fees:
· $2.00 per gymnast per each sanctioned event.
· $1.00 per gymnast per each non-sanctioned event.
These
must be mailed to the State Director within one week of the event and should be
made payable to: USA Gymnastics - Kansas
· $1.00 per gymnast (scholarship donation-tax) for each
sanctioned event. This should be mailed
in with National Report to the National Office, not to the State Chair.

Usage of State Funds:
· The funds collected through the year will be used at
the discretion of the State Chairman. An
accounting of these funds will be presented at the annual coaches meeting.

Secure appropriate
rated judges for the competition

Act as a liaison
between the meet director and the judges

Verify all
logistics of the competition using the “Judging Assignment Form.”
